New Zealand | I created an implement in my gps that is 3x the width of my planter and offset to one side accordingly. I drive the boundary of a new field not planting but logging all 3 rounds. When planting the headland at the end manual mode must be used. Newer software has simulated headlands as others have said. Logging with a wider planter squares off sharp internal corners nicely, just as I do when planting. Once you get some experience you can plant the headland in reverse order ie round 3 - 2 - 1. Then there is no compaction from squaring off corners | |
