Headers are kind of tricky though. Deere machines run a lot wider feederhouse than say, Gleaner. I suppose some engineering could overcome it though.
3 point hitch systems finally were standardized and so were hydraulic couplers after Deere finally caved and started using pioneer. It may take a long time, but if we as farmers put enough pressure on them, they may cave someday.
