Minnesota | Another few items to check:
Are the satellite counts on the L1/L2 base higher than 7?
Is the antenna on your A5 base and rover in good condition?
Is the base new or used, have the dealer connect to the radio and check output power setting on the freewave radio. Assuming its 900 mhz?
I have had reception as far as 4.5 miles with a A5 portable base. I don't use it at that distance, that is just what I read as I was leaving a field. I typically use under 2 miles without problems on flat conditions. At 2 miles I usually don't worry much. | |
