I was able to source a cross flow for my 1460 and am about 3/4 of the way done putting it in. My paddle fan shaft is still in once piece with the housing surrounding it yet as well, but I think it's narrower then your 80 size machine. Kit was less then what you were quoted out of a salvage yard, but it's the only one they had at the time too. Kit for me included off the doner: jackshaft with tripple pulleys, belt, lower pulley, scroll, frame rail brackets, vertical jackshaft bracket, shroud around crossflow fan, and then had to go back and get the clean grain pan as that was different as well. upper shroud / air cutoff / chute is also different.

I think my original pulley may have been worn as well as I wasn't getting over 900 RPM on the fan ever - even with all new belts driving it.
