| The problem with the dropped calls was AT&T and overloaded networks in the large cities and the fact that their network doesn't work as well out in the boonies as Verizon's. Those with the AT&T versions in smaller cities where there was/is less traffic didn't have nearly as many problems.
As for my D1 - like I mentioned, I wasn't unhappy with its ability to hold a signal, but the iPhone is definitely better in fringe areas. There was a group of four of us who all owned the D1 and we all had similar experiences with signal reception - good, but not great. Where it was really bad was the battery life in fringe areas. | |
