I didn't read all of the replies so this may be rehash. I washed an LP tank several years ago in preparation to paint. It had a lot of lichen on it and my main goal was to get rid of that stuff. My washer is only 1200 psi but has hot water capability. It wasn't doing much to the growth so I decided to try the hot water, that got rid of the lichen and quite a little paint. Just a thought.
