I disagree that WAAS is no better than a couple feet on a good day. Most Trimble are rated at 6-8 inch pass to pass accuracy. I believe the benefit of using autosteer will outweigh the hassle of WAAS drift. Just remember if you stop, then resnap your line when you start again because it probably has drifted.

I am currently on RTK, but I have also planted using Omni and with WAAS. Quite a few years ago when I planted with WAAS, I would use my markers and probably shift during each half mile pass two times to be close to online in corn (less in soybeans). I would rather have to shift the line a couple times each half mile (2" increments) than not have auto steer and have to drive staring only at markers.

Just a warning, even though it is better than just driving manually....you will keep thinking about upgrading to a more accurate signal.
