When the display thinks it is 1 or 2" off that is your EZ Steer's error from where the GPS thinks your line should be. There will also be an unseen error due to the WAAS signal not being precise (typically 6-8" off or less pass to pass). Add those two together and you will have your total error.

With that said, in your situation I would move and use the EZ steer to your planting tractor. I would still use markers and "nudge as necessary" to keep your guess rows fairly accurate. Obviously, the more accurate signals are better, but I think you would be satisified in soybeans having a 10" to 20" guess row.
