Cedar Rapids, Iowa | There are USB-to-RS232 converters that work great, which is your simplest and cheapest option. Unfortunately the USB-to-RS232 market is saturated with junk that doesn't work, and people start to assume none of it works.
You could use a different receiver, possibly one with a bluetooth serial port module, which all modern laptops can use to create a wireless serial port. Then you only have to worry about getting power to the receiver. | |
