I may not be any help, bottom left of computer screen, click on the "start" button and go to "all programs". You should have a program called "canon utilities". Open that up and a box should show up giving you options, to scan click "copy", then save your scanned document to my pictures or where ever you want it saved.
Note: I have a Canon 4400, so it may not be the same. :)
