Mine changes over on the 28th. I figure the same thing: give it 30 days on the road and if not they can have it and their contract back.  Originally Cell One, than Alltel both had good service through the Dakotas, Verizon very spotty there. Hard to imagine having as good a GSM signal in all the same places but we'll see.

The problem is that with ATT all GSM and the only one on GSM (as I understand it) there is no sharing of  service or "roaming". You are either on an ATT tower or your phone is a paperweight.

I am told they have new GSM antennas on "every tower" as the Alltel CDMA coverage...  we'll see.
