I think I have MS Word 2007, although I do not profess to being an expert.

Across the top, I have:

Click on View.   At the top left, if I select "Draft", I will get my cursor at the very top.  If I select "Print Layout", it sets the cursor down to where it should be.  See if that is what she did. 

I would think there would be a way to reset MS Word to pre-set settings.  However, I can't find it right now.
