Downtown Shell Knob MO Come Visit! | Just make sure the pickup is in good shape. The teeth on the pickup tend to be bend backwards if it has baled a lot of tough hay or rocks/ terraces. If im correct the pickup feed auger spins upward instead of down(the 4590s and 8545 caseih have a 4 bar pickup with an auger spins down like a combine table auger would) so it is importand that the pickup teeth are in good shape to keep feeding the hay against the auger.
You might make sure the knotters have been greased and see if the dog springs are broke or not. It seems like a little thing but most of the time. the bolt that holds the dog and spring onto the baler is froze to its bushing, and they can be a pain in the rear to change.
There is not a 14x18 baler that will outbale a 4590! |
