| Ted, the NRCS spec for seeding waterways runs in that ballpark. Some contractors around here usually triple their recommendations and apply at least 75# fescue and 35# ryegrass and usually get a much better stand than the recommended rates, especially in the spring where newly constructed waterways usually don't hold up very well to heavy spring rains. Fertilizer with the seed is a must and often gets left out. Rye is another good fall cover. | |
