I wonder how different your experience would have been with one of the later Droids (Incredible, X, etc.) My wife would trade off her Droid1 in a heartbeat if she could (she also has an iPod Touch and loves it), but I get along just fine with my Incredible. Sure, it has the occasional hiccup, but nothing that has ever bothered me to the point of wishing for a <gasp!> iPhone...
