definitely use something that will handle the pressures. If the line breaks you may think you're greasing the bearing but you're not. I've run into that problem before. Manufacturer used cheap low pressure plastic line. Plastics can become brittle over time especially if not uv resistant. Course I have also seen steel lines rub in to if vibration is a factor (NH forage harvester head)
