I guess I'm very blessed so far this year. We've finished 4 fields and so far are running about 180 bushel yields. For us that is above average. We just finished the 40 acres outlined in red in the photo below. 2 years ago it was not even planted because it didn't dry out in time from flooding. In fact, I took out crop insurance for the first time in several years mainly because of this field. Spot check with a weigh wagon showed 190 bu/a. Field total was 180 bu/a with average moisture of 14% Oh, a clarification. You may notice the tracks from pivots in neighboring fields. This is non-irrigated. The yellow streaks in the bean field to the right are "sand streaks". The color comes from the plants suffering a lack of moisture. The big yellow spot is basically a sand bar, a sand hill in the middle of the field.
