Central IL | I vote for using a local custom builder that has a good track record. At work we purchased 4 to 7 desktop systems from internet vendors for 20 plus years. This year we decided to switch to a local custom builder after the bad experiences we have had the last three years. In my opinion, I believe the quality of these massed produced systems have decreased dramatically. I finally got tired of constantly spending time trying to understand the "India English" dialect while trying to fix at least one of four identical machines right out of the box.
I am probably spending $150 per machine more than the internet machine, but so far it has been well worth the cost. The young man who built these machines delivered and installed them in my staff members offices. He is also more knowledgeable on networking machines and can set up or fix our office networks in 1/10th the time it takes for me to do it. | |
