My Lenovo W700 laptop came with Vista 64 bit and a free Win 7 Pro upgrade when released. I had no problem at all. Lenovo sent me the upgrade disk and drivers. Win 7 Pro has been rock solid and stable. This has been one of the most stable computers I have ever owned. I use it as my main computer. I runs just about 24/7.
