I used a 1790 this past year to plant about 1200 acres of corn and beans, I had no problems. Problems that I have heard about are row unit population sensors going bad, mainly due to dust and debris. I have also heard about the some problems with the ProDrive unit cables fraying. I ran with Pro 40s, so can't help you out with any advice there. I use yetter coulter and trash wheel combos. I have used yetter for the last five years and had no problems. They are expensive, but heavy duty.
