It will work fine. I assembled a 10 row planter for soybeans years ago from 2 AC planters. I had 3 rows, skip row, 4 rows, skip row and then 3 rows. 16" rows, 26" tram lines. I used a Noble danish tine cultivator. Still have the cultivator, but sold the planter years ago. Went to 7.5" with a drill, and am now back to 15" rows for soybeans. Do you need a cultivator???? :-)
