What I did was have the program write 0 to each sector for 5 times. That took3 hours. Then I told the program to write 1 to each sector 5 times. I did that instead of have the program write 0 for 10 times. It took less time to do the smaller tasks than it did for the longer tasks. If a person has enough time and money a lot of things are recoverable. I agree that a 10 lb sledge solves a lot of problems, but that the computer no good to anyone else. VERY, VERY few people know how to get the information off of the computer after a few wipes. This way a computer could be used by someone else.
