N Illinois (I39 & US 30) | Paid my way thru college with these beasts. Mainly I ran the mower ahead of the viners. The "pea train" you refer to we called an "Old Scott" (worst part about them was you couldn't back up) and the newer LV's were "New Scott's". I don't know why. Another early viner was the Hamachek (sp). Later I ran the prototype 156 before they came out in full production. Even had some guys from New Zealand come out to take a look at that. It looks like your dates are pretty close on the viners. | |
