I read an article the other day about a new invention from the guy who started Twitter. It's a 1" square self-powered credit card reader that connects to a cell phone via the headphone jack. Just swipe the card and process the payment via your data connection (PayPal, etc.) Don't know when it will actually be available to the market, but it sounded like a cool concept.
