Eric -- pretty much agree on the mighty mouse. I really liked the little scroll ball but it didn't work very long -- I had even less patience than you before tossing it (actually we use it some on a mini now that is connected to our TV) and going back to a Microsoft mouse. I just got a magic mouse for my birthday -- here's my $0.02 ;-) I like it but there are a couple of things that take some getting used to. First, the action of the mouse is a little stiff -- maybe it will lighten up a little with use, but it takes a deliberate click to make it click. Secondly, you can easily scroll when you don't want to with the touch surface -- not a huge deal but again just something you have to get used to. Overall I like the simplicity of it and if they add the multi-touch features it will be perfect, because I really miss those when I come off my MacBook back to the iMac.
