I've got a 150 pound Bernise Mt. Dog-crossed with "something" and I'll guarentee he wouldn't touch a chicken.

I've seen quail even phesants walk right beside him even walking up to his feed dish, and he doesn't move a muscle. Yup he's awake, I've seen him move his eyes,, and that was it, he looked and went on relaxing.

Now a 'mouse' is a whole different story,, he'll plow up 1/2 an acre digging to get a 'mouse' !! LOL.. I've seen him excavate holes in a field deep enough for him to stick his head in clear to his shoulders and even full of water he'll stick his head in and come up for air with a 'mouse' in his mouth. :-)

He's not fond of coyotes either. :-)
