Le Sueur VIA St.Thomas | I pulled both cables to the suspected drives. I didn't chang the BIOS, so I get the 'missing drive' error message on startup. F1, and it starts up and runs normally from there...
Both DVD drives are identical- DVD RW, Lightscribe, SATA. I could swap cables and such to troubleshoot, but haven't done anything like that, yet.
With the tower open and all drives plugged in, the tower will operate just fine. I start closing the case and at some point while closing it shuts down- dead- every time. After pulling cables on suspected drive, I can open, close, jiggle it, and it will keep running. I believe I have gotten it to a point where I can ignore it for a while so I can tend to other 'irons in the fire'
