| Yes, there is something similar in MacOS. Command+Shift+4 turns mouse pointer into crosshairs. Click/hold and draw a selection box around what you want. Let off the mouse button and it makes a "shutter click" sound and saves as a jpg file on the desktop. Like yours, there is no option to print directly that I'm aware of. (For Mac users interested - Command+Shift+3 will snap a pic of the whole screen and saves to desktop). I'd be willing to bet that if I learned AppleScript, I could make an automated workflow that would do what I needed - but I've decided I'm too old and/or too lazy to dive into learning it.
My "perfect" solution would be that, but print directly. Oh yea, I get goosebumps just thinking about that! LOL!!
Problem is, in the environment that I need this - XP is used and I don't have the option to upgrade to Vista or, better yet, have a Mac at my disposal. ;) | |
