Thumb of Michigan | Ice Machine,
I had my second full knee replacement 7 weeks ago, used ICE machine. Tossed walker away day one, carried four-legged cane for 2 weeks. Started PT day after surgery, knew what had to happen from 1st full knee replacement two years ago. Done with PT last Friday, able to straight leg at week one, bend at +120 degrees at four weeks. Almost forgot, used ICE machine around the clock.
Now the other story, friend of mine I just seen today, had his 1st full knee replacement 12-26-23, used ICE machine, still doing PT once a week, Can get leg within 5 degrees straight, Only at 100-degree bend. Doc put him back under, could only get leg to 110 degrees.
We both walked with a very noticeable limp before surgery. Everyone is different.
Did I mention get ICE machine, it's your freind.
