| Doesn't matter, we go sticking our noses into every hornets nest of the world, supplying finance and weapons to maintain our arms industry superiority. This enables and prolongs conflicts costs more lives, often times lives of our own soldiers. Then we leave and the vacuum of power created places the opposition or a worse entity in power as we search for another war theater to stick our noses into. We haven't had a war since WW2 where our involvement definitively created a better outcome for the region where it took place. If you look at vietnam, iraq, kosovo, somalia, afghanistan, syria etc. it is not entirely clear that those areas are better off today considering the cost of blood and treasure. | |
