Mount Vernon, WA | Two group 31 batteries should be more than plenty for that tractor. If you have issues with slow cranking, and you know your batteries are healthy, then you have other problems, like maybe some high resistance in one or both battery cables. Stated another way, I don't think you'll benefit much by putting another battery in there. I don't see where you have the space to do it anyways with the factory box and cover. I frankly don't see the room to add a lawnmower battery.
