Drought maps may not, but has anyone looked at subsoil moisture maps? How many years can it be too dry before it catches up to yields?

The real question is what is too dry? We have had below normal precipitation pretty much since the fall of 2019, but since there has been juuuuust enough precipitation, there has been enough subsoil moisture to grow a pretty good crop, for the most part. I can’t imagine that any of the excess subsoil moisture is still lingering from ’18 and ’19.
