Boone Co. Iowa | A guy I know that hobby farms a couple thousand acres and made most of his money selling farm equipment said that he doesn't speculate in grain.
But if the price of corn gets down to a price where he figures it is easier (or more cost effective?) to buy it from the coop and haul it to a bin cheaper than he can grow it, he figures that is a good place to buy it.
Not sure we are that cheap yet, personally.
