Well I've heard about it all - our Dawn Pluribus leaves it "too loose" in the spring??? I don't know where you heard that but I have a good guess. That is absolutely not an issue.

I also do not comment on other folks products here. There are places for a wide variety of types of strip till units on the market. By the way, Mark Bauer's "Soil Warrior" coulter-only machine can also be run in the spring.

I appreciate your closing wheel business, you will need to have row cleaners on your planter to plant into strips made by any type of strip till unit in the spring.  Good luck with your choice.
