| Thought about your "ignorance" comment some more......
Either you or VSTK (sp?) or maybe both of you, have at one time mentioned that you suggest that your customers bring their systems in to you once a year for a checkup and maintenance. I suspect that you (whichever of you) are checking them for malware, removing anything you find, cleaning that pathetic registry that MS refuses to do away with, ect. I'm willing to bet my left nut that this is not a free service. You both claim to be building fairly high-end systems - which is then safe to assume the customers are keeping them for a few years. You take the yearly maintenance cost, toss in one or two "couple hundred bucks" episodes of malware infections, and I will make the claim that PC's could be GIVEN away to the public and they will end up being more expensive than Macs in the long run. And that is just the monetary side of the coin. We won't even mention the downtime, frustration of dealing with it all, etc....... | |
