Central Il Morton | I have had a water softener for ever and it has always given us good clear water that tasted great.
Recently we are getting a rust color in the water. It checks soft and tastes good but is causing a rust color in a glass or shower.
I shock treated the softener with iron out twice but it persists.
Deep 320’ well. Softener is about 10 years old.
What has changed?
