Thanks for all the replies. Very good ideas. Labor wise, I feel that balage might be a better fit. One guy can start raking, I can start baling. With chopping I basically need a three man crew the whole time. Four it goes better. (One guy rakingng, 2 hauling, me chopping. Also a good part of my crew are my boys. First and fourth sometimes fall when they are in school. But I could bale all day, and they can help when they get home. If I have to wrap a bunch of bales after chores I can handle that .

Equipment maintenance is another part of it. It takes a lot to keep a chopper, wagons, and bagger, up and runnings.

Cost is one thing I am curious off? I am guessing plastic is costing about 2.50/ton for storage. That is if you fill the whole bag without having to cut the plastic. What is it costing all the balage guys for plastic?
