Madison, Mississippi | My sciatica came from bulging spinal cord nerves in lower back. Terrible pain down leg. Took 4-6 Alieve just to literally roll out of bed and crawl to bathroom. Friend told me to get a piece of 1” diameter broom or mop handle about 2 feet long. Wrap with 8-10 layers of newspaper or 2-3 wraps of small bath of face towel.
Lay on back raise hips and back off floor. Place wrapped handle under lower back where pain originates. (You can easily find this area by having someone apply pressure with thumb or heel of hand on the pain until relief is felt.) now, with wrapped handle in place, gently rock back ad forth to allow flexible paper or towel to conform to the space between your vertebrae and apply pressure on the sensitive area as was done with thumb or hand
Do this for a few minutes every day. This helped me reduce swelling nerve and felt better in a couple days could move almost pain free in a week.
