Subject: RE: DREAM ON!

Nw Iowa
Prevent plant here on mn Iowa border starts June 1. We just don't have gdd days to plant June 10 and expect much on a avg year. We also run out of heat early so you can end up harvesting 30% corn on nov 1. We will probably plant corn here to June 5 but after that pp is a better option. We have had the late snows and now excessive rain and no temps to dry out. If we do not get any rain next week and temps stay close to 80 we would be able to start middle to the end of next week. As I type this it is in the mid 50's and we had 1 1/2 thurs and 2 in on tues and rain predicted again on coming Tuesday . What I have seen on these wet springs is that it keeps raining and you just can't get any thing done. We had 500 acres that was t even close to going before last two rains and wouldn't be ready even with a dry week. I don't think market will notice but pp on farms with poor tile right now looks to be a 50-50 possibility unless weather pattern changes significantly
