Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot
First thing to do is make sure you have a working shutoff between the well and the pressure tank, so you can shut the well off when the pump kicks off and like others said, make sure it's not going back down the hole.

But I had a leak similar at an old house we lived in when we first got married. The ground there had a very course layer of sand at about 2', I knew I had a leak but it never surfaced. Finally took a 4' long piece of rebar and pounded dozens of holes 2' in the ground in the area I thought it was leaking. Sure enough, next day I had water bubbling up out of one. It was in the middle of the driveway and I didn't have a backhoe so I borrowed the neighbors v ripper and ripped along the water line and over it shallow so I could dig it out with a shovel.
