Four ears weighing a total of 2.430 lbs is 0.6075 lbs per ear.
Multiplied by 29,000 ears per acre (0,6075 x 29,000) gives 17,618 lbs of wet ears per acre.
17, 618 lbs of ears at 28,7% moisture adjusted to 15.5% should give 14,866 lbs of ears at 15.5%.
Assuming the USDA's standard shelling percentage of 56 lbs of grain per 70 lbs of ears (80%) gives 11,893 lbs of grain.
11,893 lbs of grain divided by 56 lbs per bushel is 212.4 bushel.
Not 258 bu per acre but still darn good corn.
