You could always buy a hail ins policy. The all risk crop ins is what is crazy. That benefits all the fringe growers, and keeps production at high levels, depressing prices, more surpluses, absolutely backwards of what the markets have been signaling. Imagine telling the avg taxpayer on the street he is subsidizing a farmer for his crop production even if God doesn't cooperate.
Let's not forget the Farm Bill.
