When we are hot and dry any mention of an upcoming rain event tanks the market before it even rains. So when the crop is already lagging way behind with cool weather and possible frost talk no market response what's the difference?
My riddle is this: if the markets open up Monday Night/Tuesday morning with 2-3% gains on the back of frost fears, how much corn and soybeans will you sell?
Zero. Because if we truly do get a frost event big enough to move the markets then it's real enough we will lose a substantial amount of supply overnight.
This crop, especially beans doesn't need any help failing.
