Subject: RE: If August rain makes soybeans

Southwest Illinois
We have quite a few acres of beans that were in areas of favorable July rainfall creating loads of growth and lots of pods, We have had bout 1" on those fields in August and while the cooler temps have helped I am not at all impressed by pod fill. Without some significant rain in the next week I think we will see all kinds of aborted seed and at one point I thought we had a great bean crop on the way, but now with no rain prospects are starting to dwindle daily.
