west central MN | I do think that the USDA is showing lower ratings which should turn into lower yields. I am not saying the farmers are wrong this year, I am just saying that overall the farmers are conservative in nature and never want to count on a good crop. I always think my crop doesn't look as good as my neighbors but in the end they are probably pretty close to the same yields.
I am pretty certain that my crop won't be as good as last year but I don't think it is a good idea to change my marketing plan because there are a lot of poor crop comments on this site. I am afraid that there are guys using the poor crop talk to figure out when to market crops.
