Subject: RE: The quality of feeder cattle from the Southeast

N.W. Iowa
I have been buying Kentucky and Virginia cattle by the pot load for the past 3-4 years. All blacks and feeding in the summer. Have had very good luck with them. I think I've treated 1 sick one in all that time. Two years ago they gained 4.2 lbs a day and last years did 3.9 a day. Packer thought they were western cattle. The only thing I don't like is the trucking to get them here.
