Sounded like a solid plan till u said you sold the 9 dollar put. I know of a marketing group that recently suggested this same trade and they seem to always have producers making some sort of multiple transaction trades. I'm not sure you are aware of this but the only floor u have is the 1.20 spread. You really are not protecting yourself from a true crash.
