I'll agree that Capt Kirk has mostly missed (although I agree with 1234's assesment.. appears about 300 miles off..) of his cornbelt drought.. for this year.

However, we still got 11 months to price this crop year.. and (not saying it's gonna go down like this.. but..) the 2010 crop PROVES that there's still alot of ballgame yet to play..

$6 to $7 corn.. sounds pretty unreasonable.. but...???

.. can't say it will NOT happen...  Likely?  No.. Impossible.. well.. not that either...

"One of these days.." we're gonna bust back through the topside again.. and it may be sooner than some now think..

My point is yal it's all "doom and gloom" now.. but in this environment.. ugh.. I just think were gonna stay volatile.. not a place for complancency..

Afterall USDA predicted a 500 myn bean carryout.. no.. 475.. no 435.. no 380.. no.. 350.. no.. 197 when all was said and done for 2016.

From 500.. to 197.. golly I guess it's good we had a good year.. what happens when we come up short?
