| If the tiles were set using a water soluble product you're just prolonging the issue and possibly creating more issues. Grout is not waterproof and mastic, along with other products, are water soluble... I'm sure you can see the issue.
If the tiles were set with thinset or other suitable product, and there are only a few tiles that need to be fixed, you could use a cup grinder to carefully remove the old product from the back of the tile. If you successfully get it off, then chisel the setting material off the walls where the tiles set. And then there is the issue of getting the new grout to blend with the old.
