TX | Not sure if this is helpful to the original post or not but I have come to the conclusion that trying to run a business where the price for my end product is controlled by some magical unicorns in a land far away is lunacy. Instead of constantly worrying about what the board is doing we have waged an all out war on costs. To make money in the cattle business you must be a low cost producer. If you can get your cost of gain 10 cents cheaper than the guy down the street it really doesn't matter that much what the board does. I want to be in a position that when the market goes up we make a lot of money and when it goes down we still make some money. This is the goal and I feel working towards that goal is easier and a better use of time than hand wringing about the board. | |
